posted on Thursday, June 07, 2007

The Billie Hardee Home for Boys (BHHB) campus was filled with joy and celebration at 2pm on Thursday, June 07, 2007. A special graduation ceremony was held to celebrate eight teenage boys completing the BHHB successfully. Family members, donors, social workers, and teachers that have influenced the lives of these young boys came out to see these eight young men receive their certificates of achievement from BHHB.

A special thanks to Florence-Darlington Technical College for providing caps and gowns for the graduation ceremony. The Youth Minister for Central Baptist Church Darlington, gave the key note address to these young men. He encouraged them to look toward their future, always try their best, and not dwell on their past mistakes. The ceremony concluded with the young men thanking the staff for the love and dedication they received at BHHB and sharing with those in attendance what they had learned that has equipped them to be an asset to society.
