11th Annual Golf Tournament a Success

The 11th Annual Billie Hardee Home for Boys Golf Tournament held at the Darlington Country Club Friday, April 1st, was a huge success bringing in over $20,000 in needed funds to help the local non-profit continue serving children and families throughout the state of SC.
The tournament may have taken place on April Fool's Day but when it came down to dedicated sponsors, volunteers and golfers this event was no joke. Even though it was a cold, wet and windy day 144 golfers played in the tournament. The community pulled together to provide each golfer with a "goodie bag" and donated door prizes in hopes that no golfer would leave empty handed.
Not only did the winning teams take home cash prizes but there were several other prizes for the golfer that made a hole in one. At the end of the tournament no one took home the trip to Master's, Raceway Automotive Group's $10,000, nor did they win the Honda ATV but all seemed to have a great time trying. Lee Freeman with Print Image Solutions brought the Birdie Ball Inflatable and the golfers enjoyed a competitive "Chipping Contest" with their Birdie Balls. The winner of this contest was John Kesler.
The winners of the 11th Annual Billie Hardee Home for Boys Golf Tournament were as follows: Team Nucor 1st Place (William Bryant, Patrick Dempsey, Ryan Green and Kevin Rouse), Pee Dee Electric 2nd Place (Kenny Eisiminger, William Fleming, Thomas Freeman and Brian Kelley), A.O. Smith 3rd Place (Woody Hudson, Daniel Johnson, Will Kimbrell and Chris Parker).
